They're already looking for us, they just don't know we're here

Our objective with the development of a new visitor brand identity was to help clarify the tourism offer, to make it coherent and compelling to a group of specifically identified domestic and international audiences, combating a lack of profile beyond the iconic, short visit attractions, “if no one knows we’re here, it’s up to us to introduce ourselves, say hello and invite them to stay and explore”.

By examining where Falkirk and the surrounding area’s offer of unique and quirky places, authentic and genuine people, all underpinned by value for money, met their target audiences’ motivations, aspirations and needs, we were able to identify the central, strategy shaping insight, “They're already looking for us, they just don't know we're here.” Positioning Falkirk as a genuine alternative, away from the tourist trap and beyond the clichés.
